Partridge shooting

The Partridge Season commences on September 1st and concludes on February 1st.

The indigenous Grey Partridge was once the predominant game bird in the UK, with its mesmerizing starburst flight being a familiar sight in the UK lowlands. It served as the primary target until the outbreak of the Second World War. Unfortunately, the extensive loss of the Englishman's habitat due to intensified arable farming in the 1950s led to a sharp decline in this magnificent bird.

However, the introduction of Red-Legged partridge from the continent has revolutionised driven shooting across the country, imparting an additional dimension to various shoots, while also extending the season. Affectionately known as "Frenchman," these partridges offer exceptional sport from September to late January. We have access to partridge shooting across the UK, with bags starting at 200 birds.
